About the role

We’re looking for an DNS engineer you will work at the core of the Internet, managing Nominet DNS services and being involved in the design of critical national infrastructure and government secure services.

You will be taking a lead in analysing requirements, developing solutions and leading other team members in service improvements and new service deployments. The role involves an element of operational support as a point of escalation.

About you and your experience:

• Lead the operation of Nominet DNS services, ensuring the availability and security of the infrastructure to meet customer SLAs.
• Analyse business requirements and work with other teams to design/deploy solutions based around DNS services.
• Be a subject matter expert in DNS and ideally familiarity with DNSSEC, particularly with regard to ongoing operations.
• Ability to provide technical leadership to other team members and management.
• Lead/mentor team members to develop the breadth and depth of skills across the function.
