About the role:
You will lead a small team in developing our highly available, resilient, and secure cloud platform which underpins our cyber security product. You will be growing engineering teams while also being responsible for the timely planning and delivery of the projects the team are working on.
You’ll be playing a hands-on role in making a difference by detecting, blocking, and analysing cyber security threats amongst billions of DNS queries. Our mission critical product and adherence to strict security and compliance controls mean you will have many challenging problems to solve.
The essential bits:
You will have extensive hands-on experience in developing highly available, resilient, and secure platforms in public clouds without manual or direct intervention. Technical leadership experience and a solid background in DevOps and Site Reliability is a must, so that you’re able to challenge and grow your team members.
You will be familiar with operating a large-scale platform processing data at scale and solving complex problems.
Ideally, you will have more than two years of Engineering Management experience on top of a strong technical background, as well as experience working with Scrum or other agile methodologies.
You’ll have advanced experience with AWS, as well as writing, deploying and maintaining infrastructure as code with Terraform.

You will drive a culture of continuous improvement within a team, as well as take responsibility for the quality of your team’s output.
You will set your team up for success through constructive, motivating and candid performance reviews that encourage growth, using clear communication and strong inter-personal skills.
You won’t be afraid to take ownership of delivering the engineering roadmap for the team, while setting and managing expectations with other engineering teams, senior management, and external stakeholders
