About the role:
A brand-new role within newly launched London hub you will lead a core engineering team to deliver industry leading and highly reliable systems for the Internet. This is a critical role with responsibility for continuous improvement of the company’s mission critical platforms, software products and solutions.
You will manage a highly skilled development team who are experts in software engineering and system engineering. You will focus on automation to reduce waste and drive consistency and repeatability to our engineering practices, improving solutions and system resilience. You will support the business strategy to architect scalable, supportable, maintainable, robust, and high-performing solutions to meet business needs.
The essential bits:
You will have a strong software development background either in SRE or platform engineering with experience of managing, developing and coaching a team.
It is essential that you have experience of developing and commercialising solutions/products within near real time systems and streaming systems.
You will have hands-on experience with large scale distributed systems, web applications and cloud platforms, we don’t have a preference, it could be AWS, Google Cloud or Azure. Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis to day-to-day management.
Programming experience with more than one programming language, typically C, C++, C#, Scala, Java, Python
