We are looking for a passionate and experienced Business Analyst to join our PMO team on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract, working across our business units to help us perform detailed business analysis and process redesign, gathering requirements on multiple projects and putting together project documentation for successful project delivery.
Working collaboratively with project teams by leading the process design/business analysis elements of projects, you’ll be seen as the key link between the business and our technical teams.
Youll have a knack for evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, deconstructing high-level information into detail and establishing user requests from the underlying true needs.

But there’s a whole lot more to this role too…

•    Producing project requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements sessions, user cases, business process analysis, scenarios, task and workflow analysis.
•    Taking ownership for and leading the requirements gathering process, including finalising requirements
•    Collaborating with internal business and technical users to plan and deliver requirements and documentation as necessary.
•    Working with key stakeholders to action and progress requests, leading workshops and training sessions and communicating complex concepts/processes to all stakeholders using appropriate tools and techniques
•    Creating process maps, needs analysis, ‘As Is’ to ‘To Be’ analysis, and action plans to deliver content for defined products.
•    Supporting implementation of the agreed solution / process and take ownership of the change through to completion.
•    Collaborating with the testing team to draw up training and testing plans based on the agreed requirements.

As a Business Analyst at Nominet, you will be a self-starter, proactive and love nothing more than the satisfaction of being part of a team and facilitating successful delivery of business analysis, requirements, process design and documentation to support assigned projects and programmes. You’ll have the ability to think laterally and look beyond the obvious to problem solve more effectively with fresh and exciting ideas to consider and propose solutions. This could be in terms of enhancements, configuration changes, new or improved processes, or better use of existing facilities.

You’ll also have the gravitas to present, document, and discuss solutions in a knowledgeable, credible and convincing manner to colleagues at all levels of seniority.

Ideally, you will have a Business Analysis qualification/s (e.g. BCS, Advanced International Diploma in Business Analysis) coupled with significant experience working in a Business Analyst role working across a number of methodologies (e.g. Prince 2, Agile, RUP, Waterfall). Our business and business requirements are rapidly evolving so we are looking for someone that can think on their feet and react positively to change.

Experience working on projects encompassing both IT and business process change is essential in this role including experience in collecting, defining and documenting business and technology requirements.

In essence, we are looking for someone who can:

•    plan, prioritise and manage their own time and activities within the agreed scope.
•    consider and propose solutions whether in terms of enhancements, configuration changes, new or improved processes, or better use of existing facilities.
•    encourage, mentor and educate others as well as manage a wide range of activities including workshops and project work strands with little or no supervision.
•    lead and influence opinions in a consultative co-operative manner.
•    lead the process design / business analysis elements of the project(s) with a tenacious approach to problem solving.
•    deliver high quality work at short notice and to tight deadlines.
