Our Communications team within Corporate Affairs is growing, and we are looking for a Content Writer to deliver proactive and impactful written content across our communications channels.
You will be the go to expert who ensures a consistent and engaging Nominet tone of voice and that Nominet’s written word is consistent, succinct and compelling. You’ll work closely with all areas of the business to help the Communications team find and package cut-through stories that will help showcase the company as a public benefit company, responsible registry, cyber security provider, and great employer.
In addition, you will also keep an eye on external matters and help research topics affecting our business, so that business is informed about key stories, research, developments and issues that require a Nominet position or response. 
Reporting to the Head of Communications, you will be part of a wider Communications team which covers media relations and internal communications. 


•    Working with the head of communications and the comms team to delivering a series of compelling stories to bring the Nominet corporate narrative to life. 
•    Work with the digital lead to develop compelling content for digital channels. 
•    Ensure the team delivers high-quality, timely, creative assets as appropriate. 
•    Ensuring high quality writing from Nominet, demonstrating a flair for from short and pithy for social media, and copywriting, to engaging speech-writing, and informative reports.
•    Contributing to increased corporate reporting schedule – annual and half yearly reports.
•    Find creative and visual ways to communicate.


You may have previously worked as a journalist, in a media role or as a researcher in an in-house or agency team in technology. Either way you must have the skills to manage the multiple corporate audiences and the writing challenges of the role.
•    A passion for words with first rate writing skills and ability to apply that to both formal and informal communications.
•    Organised and good attention to detail.
•    Able to develop a rational and supportive argument.
•    A real interest in the development of the internet, and the issues that are important. 
•    Ability to understand complex subjects and package up in a clear and compelling way for a variety of audiences.
