You will lead a team of experts to ensure the provision and maintenance of highly resilient, critical DNS and Registry services with responsibility for the availability and performance of UK Critical National Infrastructure.
You will be responsible for developing and growing a team that consists of Infrastructure and DevOps Engineers as well as internal IT Support. You will also leverage the relationship with our external NOC provider to its maximum efficiency.


As part of the Senior Management team, you will support the CIO in creating the strategy and setting out a roadmap that will inspire and further the work of the Internet Engineering and Operations function.


We’re currently undergoing a major Technology Transformation Programme and in this role you will be a key player in delivering the programme, offering a unique opportunity to implement new technologies and ways of working in order for us to manage our infrastructure as code, as well as delivering a high degree of process automation to the group.    




You will have demonstrable experience of stakeholder management, strong cyber-security awareness and an ability to work in a fast-changing landscape.Commercially savvy with critical forcasting and budget control experience as well a proactive coaching approach to effectively manage teams aligned to our values of ownership, integrity and boldness. 


You will have experience of managing infrastructure or software delivery with comparable operational and programme delivery responsibilities and be able to drive change through consultation and collaboration, nurturing and developing relationships effectively to evolve processes and procedures to achieve integrated and efficient service. 


Experience of managing significant 3rd party partnerships and suppliers; particularly experience of managing data centre migrations would be beneficial. 


Technically, you will have a thorough understanding of DevOps processes, experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems, and of configuration and optimisation of AWS (or Azure) services, expertise in Scrum and Agile methodologies is desirable
