Could you be our new Head of Insights who will transform the way data and insights are delivered? This is a new role working closely with the Chief Information Officer and leadership teams to spearhead strategic thinking on data. You will ensure delivery of effective data driven solutions and act as the primary liaison for the senior leadership team on all data analytics, insights, and data governance projects.  


The role requires both a practical hands-on delivery approach, and an experienced data strategy hand to build the profile of data and application of insights across the business. You will use your influential leadership style to drive change through the team and the business, creating a sustainable and effective insights delivery function. A team that is trusted to deliver quality reports, insights, and data solutions, as well as an automated product focussed approach to insights delivery. 




  • Accountable for delivering the existing 3-year plan to meet quarter by quarter requirements and producing increasingly higher quality insights products and outputs, through an increasingly proactive and predictive Data lens.   

  • Responsible for leading a team of Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Data Engineers ensuring that data solutions are appropriate, timely, robust deliver to or above business requirements and exceed external customer’s’ expectations.  

  • Responsible for leading the whole team through the required changes to meet the business’ expectations, and for directly managing the Lead Data Engineer, Lead Analyst, and Data Scientist

  • Responsible for building a strong and capable Insights Team to perceptibly maximise value add, creating competitive advantage, and driving operational excellence  

  • Responsible for leading the whole team through the required changes to meet the business’ expectations 

  • Accountable for planning and delivering data solutions to BAU, Registrar channel, GTLDs through new data driven capabilities, and identifying appropriate data involvement in enterprise-wide technology delivery projects ·  

  • Accountable for delivering a strategic approach to data through data knowledge and data thought leadership  

  • Accountable for creating a data-culture within the business, where every member of staff sees data as a key resource, and to bring new capabilities to the business through thought leadership in data 





You'll have substantial experience of working directly in a Data Team role, understanding of tech and tools to support data delivery are essential, but your core skill must be Data Insights leadership.  


  • Must have an excellent eye for visualisation, flexible approach to problem solving, and the ability lead the team in hitting deadline and quality benchmarks.  

  • Must have led a data team through extensive change previously 

  • Must be able to set, and articulate, what good looks like.  

  • Ability to coach data approaches, data strategy and data best practise at all levels is essential as is the ability to story tell with data, and identify the value add to the business and end users in commercial and lay persons terms.  

  • Demonstrate a solid grasp of appropriate technologies and the debates surrounding types of data tooling required, but essentially to have a background in delivering insights, rather than programming  

  • Must be data orientated, and used to being the lone protagonist for data in an organisation  

  • Highly experienced working at senior levels of a diverse commercial organisation or agency  

  • Track record in leading data analytics, Insights, data governance and BI project delivery 

  • Demonstratable proof of delivering data insights against business metrics  

  • Background to include either analytical, data science, or data strategy to a significant level 

  • Experience in creating data driven new business opportunities preferable, ability to apply data insights across a business environment essential 

  • Demonstrably understands the implications, requirements, and challenges of agile, productionisation, and delivering self-serve data
