ABOUT THE ROLE 

We are looking for a multi-disciplined, skilled and self-motivated DevOps (Platform) Engineer to join Nominet Cyber Solutions and help us deliver our Protective DNS solution. You will work closely with other teams to build out a scalable set of infrastructure that provides our engineering teams with a platform to build against. Within the team, you will be responsible for the deployment of our platform into cloud environments as well as building templates, modules, and documentation to enable our engineering teams to become self-serve. You’ll have the opportunity to work with modern technologies, such as Kubernetes, terraform and data platforms in a cloud native environment whilst designing and delivering a complete platform solution. 

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING 

 

  • Building a complete platform for our developers to build against 

  • Contribute to the deployment, management, support and maintenance of new cloud-based cyber security products. 

  • Support development of new applications, platform features and services 

  • Mentor colleagues to ensure new products and features are deployed safely in a timely and effective manner. 

  • Investigating and engaging with new trends, technologies, and configurations. 

  • Advocate, educate and build consensus. 

  • Building relationships with other teams/key stakeholders and working in a cohesive, friendly, and collaborative manner to deliver real value for customers.  

  • Ensuring we’re observing and monitoring all environments and applications  

 

WHO YOU ARE 

 

  • Commercial experience working with Kubernetes, Helm & Terraform 

  • Excellent knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) 

  • Good familiarity with continuous integration and delivery tools 

  • Good knowledge of a scripting language. 

  • Experience developing containerised workflows with Docker or equivalent tools. 

  • Superb attention to detail.  

  • Experience in implementing monitoring and observability
