Legal Counsel 


About the role    
Nominet has a small legal team, which advises all areas of the business. Whilst most legal work is kept in house, some work in conducted in partnership with external law firms where specialist advisory work is deemed necessary. You will provide legal Business Partnering support to sales and product teams in relation to global services and license transactions, commercial deals and partnership opportunities. 


This is a hands-on, varied role, where you will be responsible for supporting public sector bids, drafting, reviewing and advising upon our customer and vendor contracts and also supporting our business functions with a wide range of a company activities. 

 

The essential bits    


It is essential that you have 3+ years post qualified experience in UK, preferably with government tender and procurement experience. 


You will have a proactive approach to problem solving and work with the business to identify risks and assist with good contract management as well as ensuring compliance with our corporate governance throughout.

You will have a background working in an environment where the legal context can be complex, you will have strong communication skills, with the ability to own activities and see them through to completion. 
This is a team that truly punches above its weight in terms of output, you’ll be joining peers that work in a small collaborative environment, you will be able to demonstrate a level of perseverance and resilience to see tasks through to completion and a proactive way in which to approach challenges.
