About the role  

As a Performance Test Engineer at Nominet, You’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining realistic user scenarios and load conditions through performance test plans and scripts. You will also be instrumental in building and maintaining performance test frameworks, tools, and infrastructure 'as a service' for other teams to use.

 

The essential bits 

 

It’s essential that you have strong knowledge of performance testing tools such JMeter, Gatling, Locust or similar and understanding of different types of performance tests, such as load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing. Experience of implementing performance test tooling from scratch and well versed with coding/scripting skills in one or more Bash, Python, Java or similar.

 

About you and your experience 

The Performance Engineer will have the ability of developing, implementing, and maintaining performance test plans and scripts for software applications and systems. Analysing test results to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement. You’ll have experience of collaborating with developers, architects, and other engineers and train on performance testing best practices, tools and techniques.
