About the role:

 

This role sits within the Finance department at Nominet, reporting to the Head of Procurement, supporting the overall Procurement strategy with particular focus and ownership of the Technology Spend Category.

 

As the business evolves, our external cost management becomes ever more important.  The successful candidate will be expected to drive improved governance and controls whilst at the same time proposing and delivering initiatives to enhance commercial terms, minimise risk and ensure efficiency of process. 

 

This role will be a key link between Finance, Legal, Technology and wider Business Units to enable the business to maximise operating surplus by delivering cost efficiency, achieving growth ambitions and fulfil the core aim of our Public Benefit purpose. 

 

The essential bits

 

You’ll have excellent negotiating, influencing skills and business partnering with a proven track record in supporting Technology Spend Categories within Procurement in a IT software & services, infrastructure, networking and cloud environment and good knowledge of supplier relationship management programmes. Membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) accreditation would be a nice to have too.

To be successful in the role, you’ll be a self-starter with a Flexible and adaptable approach. A solid background in effectively engaging stakeholders both inside and outside of the business and work as a true Business Partner proactively bringing solutions to the business.
