About the role:   
  
Nominet Protective DNS Solutions are specifically designed for governments. They offer world class threat intelligence, discovery of malicious activity and blocking of malicious connections. They enable governments to enact early incident response and offer informed guidance to the public sector and beyond of the most imminent threats, elevating national cyber situational awareness.  

 

We are looking for a Project Manager who will fulfil a vital role managing multiple complex concurrent projects / work streams within Nominet Cyber and across the wider business, liaising with customers and other departments to ensure a successful project delivery within budget and on time.  

 

This role is a 12-month fixed term contract.  
  
The essential bits:   
  
You will be responsible for the core team coordination, stakeholder communications and planning and breaking down dependencies to ensure that progress is tracked, risk and issues are flagged and critical interdependencies across the various teams are managed.  

 

You will have demonstrable experience of working with project sponsors, stakeholders, and functional teams to identify the high-level plan and scope of work for a project, put in place appropriate project governance and determine project roles and responsibilities.  

 

You’ll be working alongside a scrum team and although you will not need to come from a strong technical background, awareness of technical lingo and project nuances would be beneficial.  

 

You will be either PRINCE2 and Agile trained and / or to have demonstrable project management experience. Whilst experience of using a development workflow system such as Jira would be helpful, it isn't essential.  

   
About you and your experience:   

 

You will be joining us at the start of the journey and therefore experience of successfully delivering projects to time and in budget is essential.  

You will be detail-orientated and highly organised. Tenacious in your approach delivering high quality work at short notice and to tight deadlines. You will have the ability to solve problems and brilliant at building relationships and managing stakeholders, with the ability to multi-task and juggle lots of strands with differing priorities.
