About the role  

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Nominet, you will be helping to build software that protects millions of people from malicious content on the internet.  You will be embedded within one of our development teams, acting as a subject matter expert for QA activities.  You will be responsible for building test automation tools and frameworks, ensuring that the team adheres to QA best practices, and helping the team to produce high-quality deliverables.

The essential bits  

It’s essential that you have strong Java programming and the ability to test applications that don’t have GUI. Experience of working with RESTful APIs, relational databases, and Linux like environments and having worked within an agile environment.

About you and your experience 

The QA Engineer will have a strong background in Agile ceremonies, such as Sprint planning and backlog refinement and the ability to design, research and develop test automation tooling whilst adhering to QA best practices.  You’ll have experience of influencing developers, testers, and Product Owners and working well with development team members.
