About the role


This is a chance to join our Insights Team as a Senior Data Analyst with the opportunity to lead key project deliverables as we undertake an insights transformation programme which will create a step change in Nominet’s ability to gain insights from data.

 

You will shape out approach to putting data and insights in the hands of the business driving decision making and having a real impact on how things are done. 

 

The Insights team sits at the heart of the business, meaning you will be working with a real variety of data that could be about registered domains, customers, finance or technical performance to name a few. You will work with data experts across the business to use your analytical skills to deliver insights that have an impact across the business.   
 
The essential bits 

 

This is a senior role in the team so you will be a project lead on key data deliveries for the business. You will also be expected to take the lead in key activities for our Insights Transformation project including defining processes and best practice for how we deliver dashboards and analysis. Though you won’t have direct line management experience you will be expected to coach and support more junior team members.

 

You will have extensive experience delivering BI dashboards in a tool such as PowerBI, Tableau or Qliksense, putting data in the hands of the business. You will have the ability to visualise data in imaginative ways telling a story to drive business insights. You will have considerable experience with tools SQL to query and manipulate data for reports and analysis. As well as using a tool like python, R or SAS to carry out complex data analysis to support business decisions.

 
About you and your experience 


With considerable data analysis experience you will have a true passion for creating insight and value add analytics. You will be used to working with business stakeholders to understand the outcome they are trying to achieve and then using your technical skills to analyse and visualise data in imaginative ways to deliver great outcomes.

 

You’ll be able to harness your experience to deliver strategic solutions to problems whether these are complex data deliverables for the business or looking at what tools we use as an organisation and what processes we use as team. You will also be able to use your skills to get business stakeholders and more junior team members thinking about problems from a data perspective.
