About the role:


You will be critical in improving the DNS Centre of excellence and engaging with technical communities, staying updated on technical trends within the industry and ensuring Nominet maintains and enhances its reputation in these global communities. 


This role will strive to directly influence the way critical technologies are developing to align with Nominets’ technical strategy and able to bring people from other teams on board to assist with the goal of technical engagement that may eventually expand outside of DNS.


The role is tasked with interacting with relevant communities, IETF, LINX, DNS-OARC, RIPE, CENTR, UKNOF, NANOG, Engage UK Registrars, GTLD Registries, Engage NCSC, ACSC and their customers. Some of which will require presenting back to stakeholders, training managers and proactively interacting with Working Groups by reviewing and contributing to drafts. 

About you and your experience:


It’s essential that you have extensive knowledge of DNS/DNSSEC, global and UK policy matters in relation to DNS/DNSSEC and second to known knowledge of a large-scale registrar/registry and how it might utilise DNS/DNSSEC now and in the future. You will be passionate about working with the latest in DNS and technology and be excited by the mix of technology and community. You will have technical credibility and commercial aptitude to engaged with a wide range of experts in the marketplace.
