About our role

The Member Relations Executive role supports the Member Engagement Lead in the delivery of the member engagement programme, proactively engaging with members to develop and maintain positive relationships. You’ll act as an external ambassador and professionally represent the company and the organisations values. You’ll use your great communication skills to establish, sustaining and leveraging strong on-going relationships.

This is a 12-month FTC, working part time (this could be 3 days, or have the hours spread over 5 days).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on planning and delivering online and face to face engagement opportunities
  • Manage the relationship with relevant internal and external suppliers
  • Manage the budget for specific events
  • Decide the schedule for member communications and draft all content – working with relevant teams within the business as required
  • Maintain and update all relevant engagement and communication channels
  • Be responsible for managing the production of member materials and event collateral ensuring consistency of style and standards
  • Be a credible and professional ambassador representing the company at externally facing events  
  • Put in place measures to report back on member engagement and satisfaction levels
  • Carry out annual member research
  • Represent members views internally and bring any issues or areas of risk to the attention of the senior management team as appropriate
  • Be the first point of contact both internally and externally for any member related queries and respond accordingly
  • Be a subject matter expert on effective member engagement and proactively feed knowledge and ideas for implementation back into the business and feedback to members through the appropriate channels
  • Identify and attend relevant industry events
  • Collate and analyse post-event feedback from member events, report and make recommendations on improvements and implementation
  • Deputise for the Member Engagement Lead as required
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with members

Your skills and experience

  • Experience of working in a member environment would be an advantage but not essential
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills
  • Flexible and professional attitude and ability to influence people at various levels internally and externally
  • Computer literate
  • Experience of delivering events using online platforms
  • Experience of maintaining and editing Wordpress sites ideal
  • Attention to detail
