Joining our Marketing Team for Registry Services and Public Benefit, you will be responsible for optimising the use of Social, PPC and display advertising across a variety of channels, maximising reach and effectiveness against agreed targets and ensuring measurable quantifiable ROI.

Working in collaboration with the Content & Communications Lead and the wider marketing team, you will help deliver Nominet’s advertising strategy across the Registry Services business unit.

As the in-house expert you will ensure that paid advertising is always considered in marketing campaigns and programmes, and that ad content is a consistent and cohesive extension of the campaign creative. as well as working with the creative teams to produce striking ad content and creating killer copy to achieve thumb-stopping appeal for our programmes and campaigns. 



Your main focus will be working on advertising and content, but you’ll also get to support other marketing activities (we'll provide support and development if those areas are not something you've yet got experience in). 



  • Day-to-day management of AdWords, Bing Ads, Google Display Network, ad-serving campaigns (DFP), affiliate marketing and paid social campaigns
  • Advise on how campaigns can be improved and optimised to meet business KPIs
  • Perform keyword research to build campaigns and share findings with key stakeholders
  • Maintenance and monitoring of keyword bids, impression share, quality scores and overall performance measurement reporting
  • Track & analyse results to identify potential opportunities for improvements
  • Proactivley provide support across business units, campaigns and programmes with paid advertising expertise, where appropriate creating relevant ad copy to maximise budgets, CTR and quality score
  • Implementation of A/B and multivariate testing to continuously improve ROI and performance
  • Provide landing page recommendations and insights from a paid search perspective
  • Provide monthly reporting to support the management team
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure coverage of key categories & products in the search landscape
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments and trends across the PPC industry & monitor trends in the digital marketing industry at large
  • Analyse campaign data and results in order to drive improvements



  • Co-ordinate activities in line with the wider marketing strategies, running integrated content campaigns to help reach set objectives
  • Work with the Content and Communication Lead on the shape and direction of social advertising strategy across the Registry services business unit
  • Owning the content creation process, taking detailed briefs from the relevant areas of the business and providing comprehensive briefs to third parties when relevant, then managing the creation of this content through to completion working with our design team and partner agencies
  • Responsible for the quality of the content produced, critically appraising content created both internally and externally so that it meets the brief and is optimised for the intended broadcast platform
  • Creative copy performance monitoring, testing and optimisation


Other marketing support

  • Use the CMS (WordPress) to help maintain website content, to ensure it stays up-to-date, relevant and engaging as per guidance provided by Content and Communications Lead
  • Use email marketing/automation tools to support the Content and Communications Lead by developing and delivering email marketing campaigns and communications on behalf of stakeholders across the business



  • Previous experience working in a digital marketing / PPC / ad-serving environment
  • Experience with Google AdWords, Google Display Network and Bing Ads as well as social advertising consoles
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing, particularly PPC, SEO, Google Analytics and campaign analytics
  • Strong insights reporting and presentation skills
  • Understanding and knowledge of Tableau is desirable
  • Strong copywriting, editing and proof reading skills
  • Able to professionally manage workload and conflicting priorities, and able to work well to tight deadlines
