About our People & OD Partner role 

Have a passion for People Projects? Then look no further. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional who will primarily deliver organisation development programmes ensuring our people strategy is clear and that change is delivered effectively across the whole business ensuring our managers and team members are clear on what they need to know and do in order to be at their best.   

 

 You will also be aligned to a customer group for more specific business support programmes ensuring our business areas have specialist people support when needed. Working within a wider HR team, support will always be available – we make sure we work together to be agile in order to respond appropriately to ensure we deliver exceptional service and people experiences.

People project development and delivery   

  • Work in partnership with the HRD and wider HR team to design and deliver high impact solutions that meet the needs of the business and develop appropriate Nominet wide people strategies   

  • Work collaboratively to provide expert input across a range of HR disciplines and programmes (Workforce planning / Management Development, Organisation Development, Talent Management, Culture, Change management / Reward and Performance)  

  • Build frameworks to plan and manage the continuous process of change including dependencies, risk, potential scenarios, and options to mitigate.  

  • Support our business development by challenging the status quo through research, design and delivery of high-quality people programmes and projects.   

  • Lead research, development and design programmes that will deliver high impact solutions that meet the needs of the business to develop appropriate people strategies. Keep up to date with external trends and best practice in the areas of expertise and HR more broadly.  

  • Understand and anticipate the need for change, diagnose the underlying issues and build the case for change with stakeholders.  

  • Develop People tools and policies, engaging with key stakeholder effectively to ensure their awareness, engagement, and consistent implementation across the organisation.  

 

Managing Change  

  • Work in partnership with the business to deliver effective and timely organisational change ensuring we engage in a timely manner and support the change effectively   

  • Deliver people-related initiatives through effective communication, coaching and stakeholder management offering support regarding organisational/people-related strategy   

 

Communication   

  • Responsible for the shop window of resources on SharePoint and communication strategy for programmes   

  • Socialise, engage and influence management community on the importance of our culture and people priorities, taking a data focused approach to provide insight into the ROI from team member engagement  

  • Ensure key channels are updated and engaging to drive team member interest, engagement and adoption of changes.   

 

Measuring ROI  

  • Use data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of tools and policies and understand the landscape for further improvement.  

  • Building an infrastructure that measures end to end processes, employee experience, engagement, development and return on investment.  

 

HR Expertise & Business Partnership   

  • Maintains an effective level of business awareness and understanding to effectively contribute to the business area’s plans, its culture and its people priorities.  

  • Provide coaching, support and professional HR expertise in the management of all people matters within the function via the Head of Community – able to operate at a commercial level to develop longer term plans to drive high performance or support business specific programmes e.g., Bid Management, Organisation development and design, recruitment etc   

  • Coach and build the capability of management and talent to anticipate and pre-empt organisational issues.

Your skills & experience 

Aside from being a gee-whizz HR professional, we are looking for the naturally curious about their area of work with the ability to research, analyse and reason logically.  You’ll be able to work to deadlines and adapt to changing conditions, generating effective and pragmatic solutions to new situations as they appear. Team player? It’s a must have, we are tight knit People team. Lastly to have impact in this role, communication as you would expect is key, flexing your style as and when needed either internally or externally. 


What else? 

  • Ideally CIPD qualified and Degree educated (however candidates with relevant experience will also be considered) 

  • Experience of leading and advising on the design and delivery of change, organisation development or people related projects  

  • Broader HR generalist comfortable with handling a range of HR disciplines  

  • Proven experience delivering key change processes across an organisation   

  • Experienced in contributing to medium-term strategic planning and delivering outcomes aligned to business strategy through learning and development strategies and plans  

  • Analytical skills, including using data to measure outcomes and inform decision making, and being able to weigh up and take decisions when there are unknowns   

  • Experience of working in the technology industry (desirable)
