ABOUT THE ROLE - 12 months fixed term contract
The Product Management team for our Registry Services is growing and we are now looking for new team members to join the team who manage our .UK product portfolio. Our critical national infrastructure supports the UK’s online economy and our product roadmap contains a wide variety of projects from initiatives to prevent DNS abuse, to projects/functionality to overhaul our billing platform and processes. We are in the early stages of a multi-million pound programme investing in our registry systems to ensure all our customer management portals are modern, feature rich and prioritise the customers' experience. 


We’re looking for someone with a strong technical background and experience of working in product management in the software or technology sector. You’d be joining a team with a wide range of skills, both from within the domain name industry and from other technical product management backgrounds.


You’ll have the opportunity to steer the direction of our products based on both current and future business challenges our customers face - ensuring we continue to offer best in class products. In addition, we’ll also look for you to have an input in shaping our product management systems and processes as the team grows.

  • Define and clearly articulate product requirements to allow technical requirements and solutions matched to them. 
  • Work closely with your Product colleagues, and the rest of the business to determine a prioritised, value driven product roadmap for the products you are responsible for. 
  • Own your product roadmap, working with Marketing to create both an internal and external version that highlights client value. 
  • As the subject matter expert, support the sales function through the delivery of technical presales support where required.  
  • Track the competitor landscape, analysing where your products sit within the industry and identifying any opportunities that result from this analysis.  
  • Effective management of the product lifecycle working closely with the delivery team to ensure timely delivery against commitments. 
  • Provide steer to the business to inform the future of each aspect of the product (eg. develop, transform, retire) 
  • Develop and refine a product strategy based on customer and business needs. 
  • Ensuring that the necessary product support capabilities are in place to support the product when it launches. 

In an ideal world, knowledge of the domain name industry, DNS or other internet technologies would be preferred, but we’re still keen to hear from candidates from other tech backgrounds. 
You will have: 

  • Experience of working in product management with evidence of being able to manage and influence product direction. 
  • The ability to translate technical features into customer benefits. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • A methodical and organised approach with a real eye for detail. 
  • Ability to work in and coordinate complex cross functional teams. 
  • Experience in working as part of a project team. 
  • Evidence of a high degree of commercial acumen.
