About the role   

  

You will work to support and operate the Nominet Network platforms, running different DNS platforms where you will be dealing with requests from the business, external customers and working on projects including design and deployment of core Internet Infrastructure.  

  

The essential bits   

  

These systems are critical infrastructure supporting the core of the internet globally and therefore it’s essential that you have knowledge of network protocols such as OSPF and BGP, Juniper network devices and experience in the configuration of f5 Load balancers.  

 

Knowledge of configuration management systems such as Ansible and a major scripting language would be essential.  

 

About you and your experience   

  

This is a team that truly punches above it’s weight in terms of output, you’ll be joining peers that work in a small collaborative environment, where the cadence is slightly slower, due to the fact you’ll be working on critical services and therefore you will be able to demonstrate a level of perseverance and resilience to see tasks through to completion.  

A natural born collaborator, someone who is a community builder and passionate about sharing best practices and ways to improve automated processes. Critical thinking and novel approaches to a unique problem set are imperative.    

 

This role does require occasion travel to our data centres which are predominately South / London area and therefore you will need to be able to drive and have your own vehicle.
